Purpose

Summarisation, report writing & agentic task coordination

Description

An overlay in M365 with chat functionality that summarises multiple documents and assists officers with report writing. Copilot Studio allows for writing “agents” to coordinate tasks. Potential use cases for agents include looking at crime data, mapping hotspots, coordinating officer patrols for crime prevention, and helping officers search for SOPs or intranet information. for common business functions like meeting summaries and action tracking. Its primary value for policing is seen in the ability to create agents targeted at specific business processes, such as handling Freedom of Information (FOI) requests by assisting with administration, data sanitisation, and formatting

Home Office has deployed this, the rest of users have trialled it. Copilot is live in all 43 forces across England and Wales and it's up to each kind of force to determine whether or not they turn on that functionality.
